Stockbridge Hall
Year Built: 1926
The Stockbridge School of Agriculture and the College of Food and Natural Resources make their homes here, as well as the Environmental Sciences Program and the department of Veterinary and Animal Science. The 900 seat Bowker Auditorium is run by the Fine Arts Center, and is often home to small theater and comedy shows.
Stockbridge Hall is named for Levi Stockbridge, who was born in Hadley, MA, and served as a selectman and town assessor in Amherst. He was president of Massachusetts Agricultural College from 1879 to 1882.
Cool Fact: Stockbridge Hall has what may be the world's slowest elevator- try it and see!
